Terms of Use
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the macOS application Light Screen Translator (“App”). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
The App allows you to capture selected areas of your screen, perform OCR, and obtain translations through an online translation provider. You agree to use the App only in compliance with applicable laws and third-party rights.
2. Subscriptions, Credits, and Payments
- The App offers monthly and annual auto-renewable subscriptions processed by Apple under the Apple Media Services Terms.
- Each active subscription provides 10 000 translation credits per billing period. Credits reset to 10 000 at the start of each new period.
- Additional credit packages of 20 000 credits may be purchased separately. Purchased credits accumulate but expire one year after the purchase date.
- Bonus credits provided at registration (1 500 credits) are for trial use only and require an active subscription for continued access once exhausted.
- Unused subscription credits do not roll over to the next period.
- Additional (purchased) credits may be used only while a subscription is active; they become unavailable if the subscription expires or is canceled.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID account upon purchase confirmation and upon renewal.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID account settings at any time.
- Any unused portion of a free-trial period, if offered, is forfeited when a subscription is purchased.
3. User Content
You are solely responsible for the content you capture, process, or translate, ensuring it does not violate copyright, privacy, or any laws in your jurisdiction.
4. Third-Party Services
Translations are provided via a third-party translation service. We do not guarantee the accuracy, reliability, or availability of translations or the third-party services themselves.
5. Limitation of Liability
The App is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or any loss arising from use or inability to use the App.
6. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or misuse the Service.

8. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed under the laws of your country of residence, unless otherwise required by applicable law. Any disputes shall be resolved in accordance with such laws and competent local courts.
